About Me

by Cassie @ 5:17 pm

I am a stay at home wife, and mom of four children (and 7 in heaven) whom I homeschool, who loves God’s word, and enjoys helping others to pursue God.  I have not arrived in any way.  I am a sinner saved by God’s grace, for which I will be forever grateful.

The Lord is teaching me joy through struggle as I deal with Celiac Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, and recurrent miscarriage.  I am also learning self-control as I learn to deny myself the things that make me sick–it helps me be more self-controlled in other areas of life too.  I guess the Lord knows I really need to learn this!  So I am thankful for these thorns, though I do get discouraged at times.

My interests include reading biographies, theology and education type books with the occasional historical fiction thrown in; writing, cooking, health, education, music and singing (I was a voice major for a year, and then studied voice outside of college, and have sung in various church groups for several years; my dream is to learn to play Irish (wood) flute), sewing, crochet, helping others. . .

If you need help getting started with inductive Bible study, please ask me.  I’ve been doing inductive studies for about 14 years, and have gone through instructor training from Precept Ministries.  I enjoy helping others learn how to study God’s word for themselves.

  1. I am a retired worker. Mother of 12 Children, unknown number of GrandKids, and about that many Great Grandkids. My husband,Wally, and I have found our final greatest friend, Our Lord and Savior. We study daily on furthering our knowledge of Jesus Christ and God. Trying desperately to retain the Word that we read. Old age causes problems with this. Seems though that when we need the information He makes sure it comes to mind.
